In Big Government 44’s eyes, 2010 was supposed to be the year of sweeping change. It was eco-green health care for everyone, in the new terrorist-friendly skies of America. The deficit, no problem Big Government 44 will just take it from his default targets – the wealthy and Wall Street. There was only one problem; the majority of Americans did not see things in the same light as 44’s myopic vision. Then along came a man named Scott Brown who truly inspired the “audacity of hope” not just in his home state of Massachusetts, but in America as well. His victory was more than a wake-up call; it was a “Warning! Danger Will Robinson” no-mercy signal to Congressional Democrats and Republicans that “we the people” are coming after you.
Man overboard! Well, actually it was Martha Coakley overboard. She took one for the team and became collateral damage. Now, it is every politician for himself. Democrats are sprinting in all directions, just as roaches do when the lights come on. Currently, “fiscal responsibility” is the new political tagline. Health care died after being run over by the stampede of Democrats who were previously behind it. Big Government 44 is “kryptonite” to his own party because he arrogantly refuses to see the writing on the wall. Republicans are foolishly over confident in thinking that they have the November elections in the bag. The important takeaway is that “Brown Effect” has taken hold, and no elected job in Washington is safe.
Fox news’ ratings must have inspired the very liberal CBS news to run a blazing story regarding the wasteful travel expenditures of several Congressional politicians. Over 100 members of Congress attended the summit in Denmark. Some politicians, such as House Majority leader, Nancy Pelosi even brought their spouses. Ms. Pelosi refused to answer any questions. The cost was over $1.1 million dollars to John Q. Taxpayer. Come November, “we the people” will shake the Congressional tree in Washington again.
