Eric Holder Needs to Go Now

by pugpugmom on July 15, 2010

When Barack Obama appointed Eric Holder as his Attorney General there were plenty of reasons for concern.

First, Eric Holder brokered the deal that resulted in Bill Clinton’s infamous pardon of Marc Rich.

Do you remember Marc Rich? He’s the tax cheat, who was indicted on 51 counts of tax fraud, as well as running illegal oil deals with Iran during the 1979-1980 hostage crisis.

Republicans and Democrats alike were outraged at the pardon.

Mr. Holder also facilitated Elian Gonzalez being seized at gunpoint and returned to a life of communism in Cuba.

That was then; this is now. Mr. Holder is in a position of real power. It’s the progressive ideology on steroids, coming soon to a neighborhood near you.

Terrorism
What message is sent when an Attorney General  wants to try the terrorists responsible for the September 11 attacks in the American legal system, instead of a  military tribunal?

In November 2009, Holder announced that Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, Ramzi Bin al-Shibh, Walid bin Attash, Ali Abdul Aziz Ali and Mustafa Ahmed al-Hawsawi will all be transferred to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York for trial.

In Holder’s mind, terrorists have the same rights as United States citizens.

Where was the media during this time? Oh that’s right, they were writing about the President’s date night.

Illegal Immigration
Holder has filed suit against the State of Arizona for its recent passage of an immigration reform law (SB 1070).

Yet, he admitted in a Congressional hearing that he never read the bill. He stated the Arizona law will result in racial profiling and discrimination. Maybe he’s a clairvoyant, but chances are, he’s just corrupt.

Meanwhile, the press is busy singing backup on Mr. Obama’s White House duet with Paul McCartney.

Crime and Corruption
Mr. Holder is a professional progressive, in that he doesn’t let laws interfere with his politics.

For example, Samir Shabazz, and the New Black Panther Party intimidated voters in violation of the 1964 Voting Rights Act. The defendants were caught on video. Shabazz was given the equivalent of a warning; he can’t intimidate anyone in the city of Philadelphia until 2012.

That was bad, but what happened next was worse. Commissioner Todd Gaziano, of the United States Commission on Civil Rights (USCCR) conducted an investigation as to why the charges were reduced against Mr. Shabazz. A video interview with Mr. Gaziano is to the right of this post. It includes clips of some of Mr. Shabazz’s tirades.

His discovery, via former US Attorney Christian Adams’ sworn testimony, was that Deputy Assistant Attorney General Julie Fernandes ordered: “Never bring another lawsuit against a black or other national minority, apparently no matter what they do.”

On Mr. Holder’s watch, the DOJ has refused to allow any of its employees to testify before the commission. So much for truth, justice and the American way, most legal citizens would just settle for equal application of the laws.

Illegal immigrants, terrorists and minority thugs are afforded carte blanche, while the rest of the American populace is held to a much higher standard.

Transparency and Eric Holder are oxymorons. Mr. Obama needs to fire Holder, but he won’t.

Unfortunately, the news media is too busy reporting LeBron James’ new zip code to notice.

Just like the old Moody Blues song, Eric Holder needs to “Go Now.” Where is Donald Trump when you need him?
